Nu-Life Long Island is a full service,
high quality dental laboratory specializing in implant prosthetics and
cosmetics. Nu-Life Long island is an independent, privately owned
business not associated in any way with other laboratories with
similar names.
Nu-Life Restorations of Long Island
Inc., our correct corporate name, began business on April 1st 1973
(April Fool's Day) under a very unique set of circumstances. On March
13th 1973 Nu-Life Restoration Studios, a 13-technician laboratory that
had been in business for 13 years had a very bad fire. The premises,
most of the work in progress, and most of the records were destroyed.
Mark Marinbach and Steven Wallace
formed a corporation and bought what was left after the fire and then
purchased the facilities of a laboratory in West Hempstead, several
miles away. Within a few weeks, additional equipment was in place and
they began business with 10 of the original technicians.
The good will they thought they had
purchased was laced with anger, distrust, suspicion and skepticism
from the dentists who had suffered losses in the fire.
The first several months were very
hectic and exhausting. The loyal crew and the new partners worked long
and hard to gain the confidence of the dental community and to re-do
and make good for the losses sustained in the fire.
After the first half year of business,
light was visible at the end of a long, dark tunnel. The new owners
had succeeded in turning the business around. The laboratory started
to grow and develop. Within a few years, Nu- Life Long Island
established a reputation as the area's leading high quality, full
service dental laboratory.
In the early 1980s, root form implants
started to gain acceptance in North American dental practices. Mark
Marinbach recognized the trend and jumped on the bandwagon. The staff
was educated in the emerging implant field, and the laboratory began
the trend towards specialization. Our implant team has been educated
at the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute, where Mr.
Marinbach is on the prosthetic faculty.
Around the same period in time,
cosmetic dentistry became a household word. Nu-Life Long Island always
had a wonderful ceramic department. It was only natural that the
talented ceramists were to hone their skills and become very adept and
skilled at producing much demanded cosmetic restorations.
Nu-life Long Island believes very
strongly in education. They send their technicians to advanced
lectures and hands-on courses all over the country. This is how they
are able to stay on the cutting edge of technology. They also sponsor
courses for dental societies and study clubs throughout the year.
On April 1st, 1998 Mark Marinbach
bought out his 50% partner and became the sole owner of Nu-Life Long
island. The business occupies a modern, well-equipped facility at 221
Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead, New York.
Today a very professional management
team and a multi-talented crew of well-trained technicians staff Nu-Life
Long Island. It is very understandable that some of the most critical
and demanding dentists throughout the country seek the reliable
service and high quality prosthetics produced at Nu-Life Long Island.
